My Broken Heart Is Made Of Tears
The Broken Heart - How the Broken Heart Ring Came To Life
The Broken Heart Design is designed by a widow for widows.
The purpose of this ring is to show on the outside how our heart feels on the inside each and every day.
Do you feel-"My heart is broken." Do you feel-"My heart will never heal. And do you hate the tears?
I hated those tears and wished they would just STOP.
But I asked, “Would there come a time when the tears would stop, never to return?
”I asked, “Would the memories fade and would I forget?
Early in the design of Widows Rings I held a cache of teardrop stones in my hand. As I let them fall in a river of tears, two tears aligned points together…… I SAW the Broken Heart and finally understood that the tears were a blessing not an affliction of the weak. I finally understood. All those tears were the blood of my broken heart and they needed a place of honor, and not to be discarded on a piece of toilet paper. ( I ran out of tissues early on and didn’t leave the house for weeks)
I knew then a Broken Heart is made of Teardrops.
Those tears held our love, memories and foretold a path I never wanted to travel.
Those tears were the blood of my broken heart and they needed a place of honor, and to be treasured.
I vowed to honor those teardrops, wear them on my ring finger and always be close to my heart.
The Broken Heart Ring is my heartfelt wearable art and I am honored to share its healing with you.
This concept is what made me get up off the floor, fight to get this into the eye of the world and return to the land of the living.
My focus then was entirely on widows, as that was my greatest pain.
But later, I began to see that Broken Hearts are NOT Only FOR WIDOWS, when little notes began to appear;
"Although I am not a widow, Thank You For this design. It speaks to my grief and I love my ring,”
Signed by mothers, daughters, sisters, friends suicide survivors, and unwed partners,
Then I knew that Broken Hearts, like Grief has no borders.
